Two Great Histories Become One
Founded in Phoenix, AZ in 1961, BPGraphics was renowned for its excellence in large-format printing, specializing in Out-of-Home advertising. For many years the company specialized in silk-screen production of posters that were pasted onto billboards. These wet strength signs were common along the growing freeway system in the southwest and beyond. Vincent Printing, a trusted name since its inception in 1940, also established a strong presence in outdoor and retail advertising. Founded in Chattanooga, TN, the company began as a producer of posters for movie houses around the southeast and would eventually evolve into one of the country’s leading providers of OOH printed media.
From humble beginnings through 145 years of combined evolution, the merger of these two companies represents the fusion of deep expertise, state-of-the-art technology, and unparalleled service quality.
Vandsco Posters Launches
Vandsco Posters is established by co-owners Clarence E. Vincent and Louis Spitzer. Product focus was screen printing, movie posters and 24-sheet paper posters.
Billboard Printing Co. Launches
Phoenix, AZ becomes home to Billboard Printing founded by Leonard Dix.
Name changed to Billboard Poster Co.
Expanding print options into the Out-of-home market, the company changes it’s name to better reflect the new production options in OOH.
Milton Takes The Reins
Son Milton Vincent took over the company and renamed it Vincent Printing.
VPI Name with New Owners
Doug and Charlie Casey purchase Vincent Printing and rename Vincent Printing Incorporated.
New Building
Purchased and moved to a new 32,000 sq ft facility at Monecito Ave in Phoenix.
Products and Building Growth
An additional 10,000 sq ft addition added to the Phoenix office and a 5-color Theime screen press installed.
New Name
Name changed to BP Graphics and Screen Print, Inc. to include all the services provided.
Screen Printing Goes UV
All screen printing is replaced with UV Digital presses at VPI
First Digital Press Added
Plate printing starts to reach it’s end of life and Billboard Poster Co enters the digital age with digital printing.
bpgraphics launches
Name changed to bpgraphics, better reflecting our product offerings.
bpgraphics Expands Again
Second location purchased, adding 24,000 additional sq ft of production space. Our first HP FB7000 flatbed press added.
Vincent Single Sheets
Adopted Clip finish system and began producing Single Sheet Posters (PE or Eco Posters), replacing what was most known as 1-sheet paper posters. Vincent Printing continued to develop and master other poster finishes to fit all vendors frames.
Digital Expansion
Three 5-meter roll-to-roll UV presses added to the recent expansion. Replaced solvent presses with newer and greener UV presses.
Half a Century
BPGraphics celebrates 50 of printing service.
Dye-Sublimation Printing In Arizona
Dye-sublimation fabric printing is produced in the heart of Arizona; providing flexible and vibrant options. The first Zund G3 is also added for increased finishing efficiency.
Vincent Launches Online Ordering
Installed online ordering and tracking system allowing clients firsthand access to place their own orders, view status updates, and track their campaigns from start to finish
VuTek 5r
5-Meter, UV Vutek 5r added to our offerings for greater print detail.
EnhanceAir Launches
EnhanceAir, powered by Pureti ®, a Vincent Printing exclusive product, launched becoming the first Photocatalytic Surface Treatment for the OOH Industry. Supporting a Green Strategy, EnhanceAir, powered by Pureti ®, purifies the air, reverses air pollution, lowers greenhouse gases and fights climate change.
5-Meter UV Presses
Three 5-meter, Durst 500r UV presses replace our XL presses for improved reliability and higher quality images. A Durst 1312 replaces one of our HP 7600 presses improving production volume and material flexibility. Our Thieme 5-Color screen press is retired.
Dual Lit Brightens OOH
The History Channel became the first campaign to use Vincent Printing’s Dual Lit effect. Through a combination of print and light, Vincent changed the way a creative is viewed based on the time of day. Capturing the effects of digital advertising while maintaining static impressions and taking campaigns over-the-top by revealing hidden messages, enhancing logos, telling stories and even transforming entire creatives.
New Building + New Equipment
A third location is purchased next to our southern building, expanding our production space by another 24,000 sq. ft. Plus, the 5th in the world HP Stitch 1000 installs at our north building for improved quality and speed of our dye-sublimation products. Finishing gets a boost with another Zund G3 and a 60′ wide RF Forestrom Welder for stronger bulletin edges.
